Bleach On Brown Carpet

Saturate the area of the carpet you want lightened with the bleach mixture.

A bleach spill on a carpet whether it be large or small leaves behind a telltale mark. Run a towel or cloth under cold water squeeze it out then use it to blot out the affected area. Blot the area with paper towels to remove any liquid bleach. Scrub the mixture into the carpet fibers with a scrub brush.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Technically bleach does not stain a carpet. After letting it soak into the stain for about 5 minutes rub the stain with a cloth or sponge. Continue applying the mixture and scrubbing until the carpet is thoroughly saturated.

Rinse the bleach stain using a sponge and warm water. Take care to blot with repeated dabbing motions instead of scrubbing. Pour this solution over the stained area of your carpet. Blot away wet bleach with a cold damp towel.

Take care not to soak the area with water as it will need to dry before you. If you ve just spilled bleach on your carpet there might still be time to save its color if you act quickly. If the carpet surrounding the stain is a shade of brown you can use your favorite.
